Chef - Permanent

Location: Middlesbrough

Position Type: Full-Time

Hourly Rate: £11.44 - £14.00

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook high-quality, nutritious meals that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of residents.
• Develop and create diverse menus that are both appealing and balanced, taking into account special dietary requirements within the allocated budget.
• Maintain a high level of food hygiene standards at all times.
• Work collaboratively with the care home staff to accommodate special meal requests and dietary restrictions.
• Manage food inventory and order supplies as needed, maintaining cost efficiency without compromising on quality.
• Manage and oversee kitchen staff.
• Maintain accurate records of food temperatures, storage, and waste management.

Candidate Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a kitchen setting preferably in a care home, healthcare, or similar setting however this is not essential.
• Must have the right to work (RTW) in the UK, unfortunately, we do not offer sponsorship.
• Strong understanding of nutrition, dietary needs, and food safety standards.
• Excellent cooking skills and creativity in menu planning.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage and plan a kitchen rota
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Level 2 in Food Hygiene

Working Conditions:

• Full-Time hours
