Goodwill Healthcare Services Limited is seeking multiple experienced and enthusiastic Senior Healthcare Assistants (SHCA) to join healthcare settings within Middlesbrough, Redcar and Stockton-on-Tees surrounding areas, on a rota and shift basis.

Pay Rate: £13.80 to £20.70

Please note we currently do not offer sponsorship; therefore must have the right to work in the UK. 

Applicant Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months working as a Senior Health Care Assistant in a care/nursing home setting in the UK.
  • Skills: Experience with medication administration and documentation, ability to work as part of a team and assist with Activities of Daily Living (AoDL), managing teams, conducting risk assessments, and creating care plans for service users. Adaptability to different care settings and effective communication skills, both written and spoken, are essential.
  • Driving License (Preferred, but not essential)

Training and Qualifications:

  • Required: NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent
  • Required: Medication Certificate, Mandatory Healthcare Certificate (both theory and practical)

Right to Work:

  • Required: Right to work in the UK, DBS Certificate

Working Conditions:

  • 12-hour shifts
  • Days/Nights/ Weekends
  • Rota/Shift basis

Theory - Conflict Management, Data Security awareness, Equality and Diversity, Fire Safety, Food Hygiene, Nutrition and Hydration, Health and Safety, COSHH, Lone Working, Mental Capacity Act, Dementia, Infection Control, Radicalisation & Prevention, Safeguarding Adults and Children, Whistleblowing.

Practical - Basic life support, First Aid, Manual Handling
